# Migrate to zkEVM

All Arkbound NFTs are currently stored on the **Immutable X** blockchain.\
Due to infrastructure updates on the Immutable side, these assets will be migrated to the **Immutable zkEVM**.

In migrating to Immutable zkEVM, it’s important to understand its key differences from Immutable X:

### What will happen to my NFT assets?

For most users, <mark style="color:red;">no action is required</mark> during the migration from Immutable X to Immutable zkEVM. Assets will be automatically transferred to the same wallet address on the new chain, and Immutable will cover all associated gas costs. ​

However, if you wish to take advantage of gas-free transactions, consider setting up an Immutable Passport wallet. While not mandatory, Passport offers a seamless experience with zero gas fees for transactions.

* **No Immediate Action Required**: Users don't need to take action unless they choose to opt-out.​
